Grammar at this level includes more verb forms (te-form, nai-form, ta-form), casual and polite forms, and basic sentence patterns involving giving/receiving, comparisons, and expressing desire or obligation. Listening involves longer conversations and short dialogues in everyday contexts. Reading includes short passages, notices, and messages using basic grammar and familiar kanji.
